New documents from HMV‘s accounts show the company’s debts totalling at £182.3 million, with £20 million owed to the government in unpaid tax.
MusicWeek report that these new figures from when the music retaillers entered administration show £109 million owed to banks, including Royal Bank of Scotland and Lloyds, while another £53.3 million remains outstanding to other creditors.
These figures see an increase from the £176.1 million debt reported back in October 2012.
The company is now in the control of restructuring group Hilco, after they purchased HMV’s debts from administrators Deloitte.
