Hiss Golden Messanger announces new album with opening cut "I Need A Teacher"
Hiss Golden Messenger has announced new album Terms Of Surrender, alongside revealing the album opener "I Need A Teacher".
"I Need A Teacher" is Hiss Golden Messenger's first single since "Everybody Needs Somebody" and "Watching the Wires".
Terms Of Surrender is, according to frontman M.C. Taylor, "part apology, part plea, part love letter." He wanted to make "a wandering record. I wanted where we recorded it to mirror the searching spirit of the music."
The new record features contributions from Jenny Lewis, The National's Aaron Dessner, as well as longtime collaborators Phil and Brad Cook, Josh Kaufman, and Matt McCaughan. Terms Of Surrender is Hiss Golden Messenger's first album since last year's Virgo Fool.
