The shortlist for this year's Hyundai Mercury Prize has been announced, with Little Simz, Self Esteem and Wet Leg among those tipped for the winner's spot.

The 2021 Mercury Prize Award was won by Arlo Parks for her debut album Collapsed In Sunbeams.
Anna Calvi, Loyle Carner, Annie Mac, Jamie Cullum, Jamz Supernova and Hazel Wilde are among this year's judges for the Mercury Prize.
The 2022 Mercury Prize winner will be unveiled on 8 September at the 2022 Awards show at London's Eventim Apollo.
