Cross Record, aka Texas-based musician Emily Cross, has shared a new single titled "Basket".
The track links up with "High Rise" and "Steady Waves" in previewing upcoming LP Wabi-Sabi, and sees Cross pare back her sound for something quite sinister. Sampled vocals, pizzicato strings, and the low rumble of bass provide an unsteady foundation for Cross' ethereal voice.
Swans' Thor Harris plays the "mysterious black box" on the track.
Wabi-Sabi is out via Ba Da Bing on 29 January 2016. It follows 2013 debut Be Good.
