Hear Courtney Barnett's superb Maida Vale session
You can now listen to Courtney Barnett's Radio 1 Maida Vale session from last night (25 March).
In our 9/10 review of the record, Alex Wisgard said that "...Barnett isn’t the voice of our generation. She’s just a voice in our generation. Lucky for us, she’s the most interesting one we’ve got. Sometimes is the work of probably the best lyricist writing today, and roundly deserves to be an album for the ages. If it’s not, that’s only because she’ll have found a way to top it next time around."
Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit is out now, and you should probably buy it from somewhere if you've not already.
Check out the session here, from about the 70 minute mark.
Barnett plays "Pedestrian At Best", "Dead Fox" and "An Illustration Of Loneliness".
