HEALTH sing sweet nothings on soothing lullaby "Crusher"
Just kidding. Of course HEALTH's new one is a loud, tangled knot of visceral noise. The title - "Crusher" - should give away what it sounds like.
There are moments of clarity (not quite 'light', however), but it gears up to be a rather raucous affair chock full of rhythmic blasts as the seconds wear on. It's almost like organic, metal-infused dance music.
Speaking to The FADER, HEALTH's Jake Duzsik says: "We made the decision a long time ago to at a least always make an attempt to sound new, and not to sound like anyone else. It's always been a huge pain in the ass. We hope this song continues that struggle."
The track appears as part of Adult Swim's Singles Series. The band released their Death Magic LP last year.
