Hayley Williams unveils tender single "Why We Ever"
Hayley Williams has shared tender new single "Why We Ever" from her debut solo album Petals For Armor.
"Why We Ever" arrives a week on from Williams' last single "My Friend".
She says of the new offering, "I was at the lowest point I’d been in some time. My sadness shows. Now I look back and credit this night as being the beginning of a new season of my life, where I hold myself accountable for learning to love better. I’ve let myself down a lot in love. This was the start of recognising bad patterns and acknowledging that I’m ready to grow out of them."
On top of "My Friend", Williams has also released boygenius collaboration "Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris", as well as five tracks from the album as an EP in February.
She was going to release a second EP before the full album, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, Williams has decided to "release each song from Petals For Armor II, individually."
