Harrison Whitford shares new song "Meclizine"
Harrison Whitford has followed up last month's "Salvation Army" single with new song "Meclizine".
The LA singer/songwriter, who also plays guitar in Phoebe Bridgers' band, returned with his first solo offering in over two years, "Salvation Army", last month, and has today (8 September) delivered another new track titled "Meclizine".
Whitford says of the new release, "I’ve never been entirely sure what "Meclizine" was about. When I wrote it I was very interested in images of childhood and the concept of getting lost as a path of growth."
"When I listen now, it sounds like maybe I was trying to get at the idea that the parts of ourselves which we have to shed to evolve, are also the parts of ourselves we build our identity on," he continues. "That we have to discard who we think we are sometimes to move forward."
Whitford is currently working on his follow-up to 2018's Afraid of Everything album.
