Happyness unveil album opener "title track"
Happyness are just days away from releasing their third album Floatr, and have shared the album opener "title track".
"title track" is the first track featured on Floatr, and arrives after previous singles "Ouch (Yup)", "Seeing Eye Dog" and "Vegetable".
Jonny Allan says of the new track, "This track was kind of like the scene at the end of the movie Dark Star where he’s convincing the bomb not to explode and kill them all. It’s about hindsight mainly, like your brain rattling like an old machine starting up again trying to get up to speed with reality, and your probably acting semi-lobotomised whilst it's happening. But also like if you captioned a picture of a full-scale alien invasion with the tag "well that was always going to happen"."
Floatr will follow on from Happyness' 2017 LP Write In.
Drummer Ash Kenazi says of their forthcoming album, "There is a reason that PRIDE exists. Coming out is a total celebration of life. The circumstances around which you come to reveal your sexuality are often really tough, and being that vulnerable, and coming to be proud of your identity is a really important thing to share and celebrate. Floatr has helped us process some of the difficult stuff because everybody needs that."
