Hana Vu announces new album with second single "Everybody’s Birthday"
LA's Hana Vu has announced her forthcoming album Public Storage, and has unveiled new single "Everybody's Birthday" as the second preview of the record.
"Everybody's Birthday" is the second track to be lifted from Public Storage, after last month's "Maker", which will appear as the closing song on the record.
hana Vu says of the new single, "It’s about the collective misery and depressive introspection one experiences on their birthday, which in this era of being alone, can feel infinite."
Public Storage will follow 2019's Nicole Kidman / Anne Hathaway, and will be Hana Vu's first for Ghostly International.
Vu says of the record, "I am not religious, but when writing these songs I imagined a sort of desolate character crying out to an ultimately punitive force for something more."
