Hamilton Leithauser returns with new single "Here They Come"
Hamilton Leithauser is back with his first single in nearly three years, "Here They Come".
"Here They Come" is Leithauser's first single since teaming up with Angel Olsen on "Heartstruck (Wild Hunger)" in 2017.
Leithauser plays every instrument on the new track - which features his wife Anna Stumpf on backing vocals - and recorded, produced and mixed it at his home studio, which he calls "The Struggle Hut".
""Here They Come" is about a friend who tends to run from his problems," says Leithauser. "When the going gets tough, he tends to just cut and run. The song is about the specific moment when the lights are coming up in a movie theatre where he’s been hiding out all day, and life’s complications are just coming back into focus."
He released a teaser video for the single yesterday (6 February), which stars Ethan Hawke.
