Halsey calls out venue after Maryland show was cancelled due to flooding
Halsey has shared their disappointment with Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland after last night's (8 June) show was delayed, then cancelled "due to weather-related technical difficulties".
Last night (8 June) Halsey was scheduled to perform at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. The outdoor venue said Halsey's show would go ahead "rain or shine," but delayed the show soon after "due to weather". After posting on Twitter that Halsey's show would "resume at 9:30" and asking attendees to "make your way back into the venue," the venue then cancelled the show entirely "due to weather-related technical difficulties."
The Halsey show will not be happening due to weather-related technical difficulties. Please keep an eye out for an email from Ticketmaster for more info, or refer to your point of purchase.

Attendees posted some clips online from the venue showing the extent of the flooding, and Halsey responded to the show cancellation on Twitter, writing, "Maryland I don’t even know what to say. If you missed my live, I’ll post something soon explaining what happened. But right now I’m heartbroken and panicked and I just want to know when/that you all get home safely. I love you guys more than anything."

Responding to a fan's tweet, Halsey added that "A lot of things were out of my control tonight but I promise everything I COULD choose, I chose your safety."
I promise I wanted to more than anything. But I couldn’t because it would have been SO unsafe if I went out there and people rushed the stage during or after the storm. A lot of things were out of my control tonight but I promise everything I COULD choose, I chose your safety. https://t.co/dGhgDXd5YM

Halsey then called out the venue, writing, "I really want to add that I am beyond disappointed with the way the venue handled everything tonight and my rescheduled date will be happening somewhere else. I hear you guys loud and clear I promise."
