HALEY (fka Haley Bonar) reveals new single "My Wave", and details upcoming UK tour
The atmospheric "My Wave" featured on HALEY's Record Store Day 7" release, and accompanies news of a UK tour kicking off in November.
"My Wave" was the B-side to HALEY's Record Store Day release, that featured A-side "Bratt", and artwork made by her young daughter.
Speaking about the new release, HALEY stated, ""My Wave" was intentional in its use of repetition and very few lyrics. I like the idea of words carrying the same sonic weight as another instrument, more or less a textural addition rather than a centrepiece or emotionally derivative."
"That being said, the lyrics themselves seem to morph in their meaning with the repetition; maybe referring to the loss of yourself at times, or the loss of another, our connection to the natural world, or an emotional disconnect. Finding the strength to recognise that you hold the power to finding yourself or controlling your own connection to the world around you and others is simple, and powerful."
Alongside "My Wave" HALEY has announced a November UK tour.
Kicking off on 3 November in Glasgow, the 10-date tour will span across the UK, before coming to a close on 12 November in Amsterdam.
