Gwen Stefani unveils new solo single "Let Me Reintroduce Myself"
Gwen Stefani is back with her tropical new solo single "Let Me Reintroduce Myself".
"Let Me Reintroduce Myself" is Stefani's first official solo outing in quite a while, after having only released Christmas-themed tracks and duets with longtime romantic partner Blake Shelton over recent years.
The new song was co-written with Ross Golan alongside Luke Niccoli, and was recorded in quarantine.
Stefani says of the new single, "This song is a way of saying I’m back with new music. It’s a fun, light-hearted song, because I got inspired and hopefully to bring a little bit of joy. The idea was to write a song that had a bit of a nostalgic feeling to it, so I think musically it reminds you of back in the day, going back to where I started musically which was with ska and reggae. I’m still the same me but here’s something a little bit new in case you feel like hearing a little bit more of me."
Her third solo studio album This Is What the Truth Feels Like landed in 2016. Stefani released her You Make It Feel Like Christmas album in 2017, but is yet to follow that up.
