With the last date of his UK tour lined up for this evening at St Mary’s Church in Ashford, Gruff Rhys has revealed the video for ‘Whale Trail’ – a brand new song from his double a-side single. Inspired by the accompanying iPhone and iPad game of the same name, the infectiously joyous track will be released as a limited edition 12” on 31 October.
Very much reflecting the game play, the wonderfully bright coloured video follows Gruff (Willow the Whale in the game) as he collects floating bubbles to keep him flying through the clouds on a rainbow coloured trail. The Whale Trail app has been designed by digital design studio ustwo™ and is officially launched on 20 October.
