Gruff Rhys is back with a new two-track release which features the songs "People Are Pissed" and "Arogldarth".
"People Are Pissed" and "Arogldarth" are Rhys' first new songs since last year's Seeking New Gods album, although he did feature on Imarhan's "Adar Newlan" track in January.
Rhys said of the release, "The lyrics were basically inspired by the widespread anger I - and many other people felt towards the incompetence and arrogance of the Johnson regime during the lockdowns - not that I feel any different now. I mean the words go off on one like most of my songs but that was the seed of the idea."
Gruff Rhys' "People Are Pissed" and "Arogldarth" songs are out now on Roough Trade Records. He'll play the BBC 6 Music Festival in Cardiff on 3 April. Visit gruffrhys.com for a full list of tour dates.
