Gruff Rhys’ Neon Neon project have hinted that there’s a new album in the works.
The band, a collaboration between the ex-Super Furry Animals frontman and hip-hop producer Boom Bip, released their debut back in 2008 – a LP believed to be their only planned work together.
But now it appears that something else is forthcoming, with the Neon Neon Instagram account posting an image of Italian publisher and left-wing political activist Giangiacomo Feltrinelli. The post in question is tagged with a rather telling caption that “something is brewing.”
As DIY point out, the pair seem to be working with Italian singer Sabrina Salerno on the project.
More news as it develops.
