Opening Saturday's run of Best Fit-curated secret sets at End of the Road, Gruff Rhys treated the Piano Stage's largest-ever audience to a mesmerising acoustic performance.
Fighting over the more strident sound of (Sandy) Alex G, the beloved Super Furry Animals frontman wrapped up his 5-song, stripped-down set with "No Profit In Pain", a heartfelt paean to the NHS.
End of the Road continues on Saturday 1 September with headline sets from Vampire Weekend and Oh Sees.
