Gross Magic headline London's famous 100 Club
Gross Magic proved their live prowess last night at an intimate showcase of some of the most exciting up and coming, guitar-based talent at London’s famous 100 Club.
Sam McGarrigle and his crew of nostalgic bretheren proved the main draw of an evening filled to the brim with exciting new talent, including LA newcomers Tashaki Miyaki and Boscombe’s favourite alt-sons, Bos Angeles.
Proving to be beyond the sum of their lo-fi parts, and non-plussed by the Converse sponsored hipness of it all, the 100 Club was treated to vibrant and wantonly loud sets from each of the bands, with Gross Magic’s ‘Sweetest Touch’ offering a raucous bite behind its ever-so-sweet hook and the set closing with an unabashed, noise-laden rendition of ‘Can’t Ignore My Heart’.
Gross Magic’s ‘Teen Jamz’ EP is out now on The Sounds of Sweet Nothing, with Tashaki Miyaki’s debut EP due very soon on the same label, whilst Bos Angeles’ ‘Beach Slalom’ single is available now through label Art Is Hard Records and the band’s Bandcamp page.
