Grimes teases collaboration with The Weeknd, says she wants to change "main day job" after BOOK 1
Grimes has teased a possible collaboration with The Weeknd on Discord, and has revealed that she wants to change her "main day job" after her BOOK 1 album.
Earlier this month Grimes kicked off her BOOK 1 era with her latest single "Player of Games", and according to new screenshots shared on Reddit from Grimes' Discord channel, she has a collaboration with The Weeknd titled "Sci Fi".
After one fan asked if Grimes would do anything with The Weeknd, she responded, "Hmmmm, surprises for yalls." In another screenshot, another fan asked when the collaboration will happen, leading Grimes to reply, "It's called "Sci Fi"."
On Twitter yesterday (28 December), Grimes also wrote about her future plans, "Celebrity culture is suffocating a f. I’m not quitting music, but def changing my main day job after BOOK 1. Music industry feels old and tired, reliant on archaic systems."
