Grimes teases new song during launch of Metaverse Discord server
During the livestream launch of Grimes' Metaverse Discord server, a snippet of a new song titled "Shinigami Eyes" was played.
As Stereogum reports, Grimes fans who joined the launch of the Grimes Metaverse Discord server were treated to a new song snippet.
The track, titled "Shinigami Eyes" is a reference to the ability in Death Note, which allows humans that have the ability to see the names and lifespans of humans floating above their heads.
In the snippet, Grimes sings, "Are you ready to die / Got my shinigami eyes on / Everything is fine / Got my shinigami eyes on."
Back in 2019 Grimes tweeted about having shinigami eyes, writing, "I got shinigami eyes. It cost me half my life span but now I can see the true name of everyone and when they will die. Only the real will ones will understand."
