Grimes returns with the extra-terrestrial rock anthem "We Appreciate Power"
Grimes merges her digital world with chugging rock riffs on new offering "We Appreciate Power".
Earlier this week Grimes announced new music was on its way after launching her online merch store.
"We Appreciate Power" is Grimes' first solo effort since her 2015 record Art Angels, and sees the returning artist team up with frequent collaborator HANA.
Grimes teamed up with her brother Mac Boucher to co-direct the visuals again, having worked together on "Kill V. Maim", "Flesh Without Blood/Life in the Vivid Dream" and others.
The new offering is the first single to be shared from Grimes' long-awaited fifth record, which is yet to get a name and release date.
Grimes' latest release bodes well with her recent collaborations, including Bring Me The Horizon, Jimmy Urine, and the angelic, yet devlish "Play Destroy" that she made with Poppy.
