Grimes doesn't like her Art Angels album at all
Grimes, now known as c, has revealed that she doesn't like her last album, Art Angels, at all.
In a new interview with Cultured Mag, c revealed, "The last album was a piece of crap. I feel like people really misread it and it feels like a stain on my life."
Apparently c saw that album as more of an exploration of her production ability across genres, "I just wish I could make music in a vacuum. it’s good to make people mad actually, I retract my statement. If you can make people mad without actually hurting anyone, that’s probably a good thing."
Later in the interview, she brings up her public romance with Tesla CEO Elon Musk, which has resulted in very public lawsuit where both c and Azealia Banks have been subpoenaed by Tesla shareholders for their involvement and communication over a controversial tweet from Musk, "It’s sad how love can be this beautiful thing, but then love is the thing that’s fucking up my career."
Just last month, the "We Appreciate Power" singer revealed that Musk was a "super-interesting goddamn person," before adding, "And look, I love him."
c also revealed last month that she wanted to "publicly execute" Grimes after announcing her forthcoming album Miss_Anthropocene.
The most recent single c has released was a demo of "Pretty Dark" last month. It won't feature on her upcoming record, but her "We Appreciate Power" single with HANA will.
