Last month Grimes responded to some comments from fans about her long-awaited fifth album. She wrote, "Well I’m on an indie label so basically it takes three months to even just print vinyl. Album is way done but we don’t have priority at facilities to make the physical stuff so basically just chillin while it gets made haha [tbh] I have lots of stuff coming and some features w other ppl etc. it’ll be a good productive year."
Her next album Miss_Anthropocene will be her first in four years, after 2015's Art Angels.
On top of her "We Appreciate Power" single with HANA last year, Grimes has featured on Poppy's "Play Destroy", Bring Me The Horizon's "nihilist blues", and Jimmy Urine's "The Medicine Does Not Control Me".
