Grimes announces new album Art Angels, reveals comic-style artwork
Grimes has announced her new album Art Angels, and shared its comic book-style artwork, created by Grimes herself.
The album will be preceded by new music being revealed "next week" - the Canadian creative has made good on her promise to release new sounds ahead of her North American tour dates begin. She'll head to the UK/EU in 2016, presumably after the new LP is out, though there's no concrete date for that.
Grimes has been teasing the new release for months, dropping offcuts (like "REALiTi") and hints about the long-awaited follow up to Visions' style and subject matter. From ukuleles to diss tracks to heavy metal to a song "written from the perspective of Al Pacino in The Godfather Pt. 2. Except he’s a vampire who can switch gender and travel through space”, Grimes is making this record sound like one hell of a ride.
Art Angels will be Grimes' fourth studio record.
