Grimes announces autumn North American tour, will release new music before it starts
Grimes has announced a mammoth North American tour, and has promised some new music before it begins.
The tour is called Rhinestone Cowgirls, and will begin on 24 October in Santa Ana, California, at the Growlers Beach Goth Party Festival, before ending a month later in Chicago.
Revealing the shows via Instagram, Grimes said: "yay I'm going on a headlining tour finally haha... I'll be playing new music and stuff. Also it's kinda my fault for wanting to make sure the album was done before booking these shows so some aren't all ages due to venue unavailability. doing all ages shows in the spring in bigger venues. Re: new stuff --- will drop some trax b4 tour. still mixing and working on vids cuz I'd like it all to be perfect 4 yall ....... -----> Ps non American dates r in the process of existing and ill be doing a more comprehensive USA run next year."
Grimes recently began a new artist co-op called Eerie Organisation, and the new record from Nicole Dollanganger will be the first release - Dollanganger will also be supporting Grimes on the upcoming tour.
A new album from Grimes is expected later this year.
