Grimes and Alanis Morissette among judges for new singing competition Alter Ego
Grimes and Alanis Morissette have been announced as judges for a new singing competition titled Alter Ego, which will see contestants reinvent themselves and perform as digital avatars.
Alter Ego, which will be the world's first singing competition where contestants can create and perform as a digital avatar, will be judged by Grimes, Alanis Morissette, will.i.am., Nick Lachey and Rocsi Diaz, and is set to premiere in the US this autumn.
Vulture reports that a press release stated contestants will "be given the chance to show how they’ve always wanted to be seen, creating their dream avatar Alter Ego to reinvent themselves while showcasing their unique performance style via motion capture technology. In Alter Ego, talent and technology come together to create a singing competition unlike anything the world has ever seen."
