Graham Coxon, Miles Kane and Matt Bellamy deliver debut Jaded Hearts Club track "Nobody But Me"
The Jaded Hearts Club, a supergroup made up of Blur's Graham Coxon, Miles Kane, Muse's Matt Bellamy, and more, have unveiled their debut single "Nobody But Me".
"Nobody But Me" is a cover of The Isley Brothers' track of the same name, and sees Miles Kane leading the vocals.
It's also the debut single to be released by The Jaded Hearts Club - a supergroup influenced by Northern soul, and made up of Muse's Matt Bellamy, Blur's Graham Coxon, and The Last Shadow Puppets' Miles Kane. The video description also notes that the band collaborate with members of Nine Inch Nails, Jet, The Zutons, and sometimes Paul McCartney.
Speaking to NME about the new track, Bellamy says, "I read somewhere recently, which made me laugh, that rock is the new jazz. It’s becoming an esoteric genre, but still with huge historical and cultural importance. Like jazz, which often reinvents old songs, The Jaded Hearts Club is continuing the tradition of how bands like The Beatles and The Stones started out – finding great soul and blues standards and recording them in a more modern style."
