Gorillaz to release new single this weekend?
Noodle, the lead guitarist of Gorillaz, has hinted towards new music being released this weekend via Soulelection on Beats 1 this Saturday.
Gorillaz have caused quite the scene with their sudden explosion of social media activity. A new album? Another new book? Or something else entirely? Such is the elusive nature of Gorillaz that we all love and enjoy.
This time, the hint is very much in favour of a new song being released this Saturday in some sort of association with Soulelection, Gilles Peterson, and Beats 1 radio all of whom have been mentioned in Noodle's latest teasing Instagram post.

This comes after Gorillaz drummer Russel Hobbs also hinted at new material, saying in an interview: “what is coming will come, whether you expect it or not”. Last February the band's co-creator and artist Jamie Hewlett told the world to expect new things, but after that announcement all went quiet. More than a year on from this promise, it now appears that we are on the brink of hearing one of the most exciting and alluring bands yet again.
