Goldfrapp detail reissue of Silver Eye and reveal new version of "Ocean"
Goldfrapp released Silver Eye in 2017, and have returned with news of a reissue and expansion, as well as revealing the newly reworked track "Ocean", featuring Depeche Mode's Dave Gahan.
The new version of "Ocean" is the first of four reinvented tracks to be revealed on the reissue.
Featuring Depeche Mode's frontman Dave Gahan, Goldfrapp have added more dark tones to the mesmerising track.
The electro pop duo's collaboration with Gahan highlights the chemistry and seamlessness between the two parties, and showcases an ominous side to the synth fuelled song.
Raw, prolonged and elaborate in sound, Gahan delivers his vocals exactly like in Depeche Mode, contrasting beautifully with Goldfrapp's ethereal voice.
