Godspeed You! Black Emperor announce new album
Canadian post-rock icons Godspeed You! Black Emperor have announced the release of their new album Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress.
The follow up to 2012's Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend! will be released via Constellation Records on 31 March, and the band are teasing a nearing-eight minute clip from the record (below).
Asunder, Sweet And Other Distress is the first album of all-new material to come from the band since before their reformation in 2010 (Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend! consisted of music written before the bands split).
"Peasantry Or Light! Inside Of Light!" is the first taste of this new material: deliciously dark and idyllically sprawling, it spells nothing but excitement for what's about to follow.
