Glastonbury 2015 tickets sell out in record 25 minutes
Glastonbury 2015 has sold out. Its 135,000 tickets disappeared in just over 25 minutes, significantly quicker than last year's one hour 27 minutes. That means that tickets were flying off the shelves at approximately 5400 a minute, or 90 a second.
A statement currently on the website says:
"After just 25 minutes, all 135,000 tickets for Glastonbury 2015 have now been sold (including the 15,000 coach + ticket packages sold on Wednesday night). Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who's bought a ticket.
We're humbled by the incredible numbers of people who would like to come to the Festival - and it's clear that demand once again outstripped supply this year. We're sorry that some of you have missed out, but there will be a resale of returned tickets in the spring (and your registration remains valid for future years).
Thank you all for your never-ending support for our Festival."
As usual, Emily Eavis Tweeted the sale live, and gave a running commentary before delivering the clanking thud to reality to the thousands still clamouring to get through the e-gates:
We have sold out, thank you to everyone for supporting us and i'm sorry to those of you who have missed out.

The line-up for Glastonbury 2015 is not yet released, but as usual, the rumour mill is at full grind, with the likes of Fleetwood Mac, AC/DC and Muse the bookies' top bets currently.
