"It's good to be back", Glass Animals return from US for packed-out Brighton Dome show
Glass Animals played a set full of material from their new album How to Be a Human Being last night to an excitable crowd at Brighton's Dome.
The stage flanked by giant cacti, the Oxford four-piece brought a heady mix of songs old and new: the signature tropical-pop sound of ZABA and the feral swagger of their follow-up released in August.
"It's good to be back," said frontman Dave Bayley, beaming over a lively audience poised to receive them. The band has recently returned from a string of hugely successful gigs in the US, including sold-out shows at LA and NYC's staple venues, the Wiltern and Terminal 5.
Among the older material was "Hazey", "Black Mambo", and crowd favourite "Gooey", which saw Bayley climb into the stalls singing with the masses.
"Life Itself", "Youth", "Cane Suga" were aired from How to Be a Human Being, with encore tracks "Season 2 episode 3" and "Pork Soda" bringing the set to a colourful close.
