Girl in Red shares tranquil new track "watch you sleep."
Norway's Marie Ulven, aka Girl in Red, returns with nocturnal hymn "watch you sleep."
"watch you sleep." is the first offering from Ulven this year, following on from last year's "we fell in love in October" / "forget her" single.
Expanding on the new single, Girl in Red offers, "I wrote "watch you sleep." in one sitting at 2am. In my head I had this short film playing in my head of a memory I have. I just wrote what I saw and felt. It was really weird and overwhelming. I literally cried while making this cause it made me so emotional. The song is really different from everything that’s out so far. This song shows a completely different side of me. That's exciting and scary."
Girl in Red will play some shows in the US, UK and Europe over the coming months. You can catch her at The Camden Assembly in London tomorrow (24 January), or at Heaven on 8 May. Find out more.
