girl in red reworks Maggie Rogers' "Say It"
Norway's girl in red has recorded a rework of Maggie Rogers' "Say It".
"Say It" originally featured on Rogers' 2019 debut album Heard It In A Past Life, and today (15 May), Marie Ulven, aka girl in red, has reworked the track, adding her own style to the love song.
She says of her cover, "When the words finally came to me I felt incredibly grateful."
girl in red recorded her version of the track at Spotify's Oyster Studio - which is a new initiative set up to encourage Nordic artists to record and release music without restrictions. girl in red says of taking part, "I’m stoked to be a part of the new studio concept and to have gotten the opportunity to record the track in Spotify’s studio. The possibilities to be creative in there is something I really took advantage of and it turned the song into what it is today."
"Say It" follows on from girl in red's "midnight love" track that landed last month.
