girl in red performed an unreleased track during her set on End Of The Road’s Tipi Stage.
The Norwegian teen’s upcoming single “Bad Idea” belongs to a tapestry that will form a collection of songs she will be releasing later this year.
The taste of new material was interwoven with her signature sensitivity and kitchen-sink lyrics. “A lot of my songs are about death, sadness and wanting to be alone,” but “bad idea” is concerned with the agony of falling in love: “It was a bad idea / Calling you up / It was a bad idea / I’m totally fucked.” She also topped it off with the anthemic “dead girl in the pool.”, which she revealed was Billie Eilish’s favourite.
End Of The Road continues tonight (30 August) with Michael Kiwanuka and Parquet Courts headlining.
