Gia Margaret has announced an ambient album titled Mia Gargaret, and has shared two lead tracks, "body" and "apathy".
"body" and "apathy" are the first new releases from Margaret since last year's There's Always Glimmer re-release.
She says of her forthcoming ambient album, "After having to cancel tours because of illness, I was unable to sing for nearly half of the year. This left me feeling like a shell of myself, so I turned to my synthesizer for comfort. These compositions helped me hold onto my identity as a music maker. At times this music helped soothe my anxiety more than therapy or anything else could."
Tracklist:
- apathy
- body
- INWIW
- barely there
- for Zoya in China
- no sleep no dream
- lakes
- sadballad
- 3 movements
- ash
- lesson
"body" and "apathy" are both out now. Gia Margaret's Mia Gargaret album will be released 12 June via Dalliance Recordings / Orindal Records, and is available to pre-order now.
