Gang Gang Dance make a brilliant, welcome return with "Lotus", the first taste of upcoming record Kazuashita.
The New York trio are following up 2011's Eye Contact, and break a lengthy period of silence with an enthralling five minutes of mystical electronica and silvery shoegaze.
Kazuashita was produced by the band's Brian DeGraw, and recorded at "several New York studios and art spaces". Gang Gang Dance worked with drummer Ryan Sawyer and mixer/producer Jorge Elbrecht on the LP.
Gang Gang Dance have announced a show at Brooklyn's Elsewhere on 22 June to celebrate the release of Kazuashita. Tickets are on sale now.
