Future Islands preview new album with fourth single "Born In A War"
Future Islands are back today (6 October) with new track "Born In A War", the fourth single to be shared from their sixth album As Long As You Are.
"Born In A War" lands after last month's gentle track "Moonlight", and is accompanied by a surreal animation by award-winning American artist Wayne White and his son Woodrow White.
Future Islands say of working with Wayne White, "We first met with Wayne White back in 2014 to discuss collaborating on a music video. We've been wanting to work with him since then. We're stoked that we were finally able to work together on the video for "Born In A War". We love the puppets he created and his unique interpretation of the song."
As Long As You Are will be Future Islands' sixth album, following on from 2017's The Far Field.
Future Islands co-produced their upcoming album with engineer Steve Wright at his Wrightway Studios in Baltimore.
The band have also announced that they'll be launching their As Long As You Are Listening, Together website tomorrow (7 October), which will give fans the opportunity to hear the album before its release on Friday (9 October). Find out more.
