Caribou, Father John Misty, Run The Jewels, Foxygen and Thåström complete the international acts, with plenty of homegrown aural pleasures on offer.
The full first wave of acts is as follows: Caribou (CA), Foxygen (US), Flying Lotus (US), Future Islands (US), Ida Jenshus (NO), Siri Nilsen (NO), Run The Jewels (US), Thea Hjelmeland (NO), Torgeir Waldemar (NO), Fay Wildhagen (NO), Spectral Haze (NO), Møster! (NO), Father John Misty (US), Thåström (SE), Slutface (NO) and Bendik (NO).
The 17,000-capacity festival has four stages (three indoor and one outdoor), but despite its relatively small stature, its drawn huge names as headliners in the past, such as the Arctic Monkeys and Kanye West, due to its lofty reputation.
Øya Festival 2015 will take place 11-15 August in Oslo's Tøyenparken. For more information, including about tickets and accommodation packages, head here.
