Freddie Gibbs and ScHoolboy Q link for new cut "Gang Signs"
Freddie Gibbs and ScHoolboy Q have teamed up on new collaborative track "Gang Signs".
"Gang Signs" marks the first collaborative track to be released by Gibbs and ScHoolboy Q, and is accompanied by an animated video by Aaron Hymes and illustrator Gabriel Alcala that sees Gibbs as a bunny and Q as a turtle.
Pitchfork reports that Freddie Gibbs said of the single, "I was just trying to pay homage to Do or Die and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony when I made this song. That’s the era I grew up on. It was long overdue for me and Q to do a record."
The new single follows Gibbs' appearance on The Colleagues' "Gimme The Loot" last month, and marks ScHoolboy Q's first collaboration since featuring on REASON's "Pop Shit" last year.
