Fred again.. delivers new song "Billie (Loving Arms)"
Fred again.. has released new track "Billie (Loving Arms)", which he says is the "first song from the new chapter of Actual Life 2".
"Billie (Loving Arms)", which features a sample of Billie Ray Martin's "Your Loving Arms", is Fred again..'s first new release since last month's Baxter Dury collaboration "Baxter (These Are My Friends)", and is, according to the musician's Instagram, the "first song" from his next Actual Life album.
He writes of the track on Instagram, "This is the first song from the new chapter of Actual Life 2. The next bit of the diary. For me this song is about allowing people to help you, when you need it most. Like last year I felt like that was made almost impossible for us to do in some ways. I mean just the physical touch of someone throwing themselves around you can really cure us of a whole lot I think."
Back in May Fred again.. spoke about his follow-up to Actual Life (April 14 - December 17 2020), saying, "while the first album was like a journey into pain, this second album will be more about how we should allow others to mourn and help us. For me it is more "cheerful". And some of my favorite songs will be included on that album, so I'm crazy to put it out."
