Frank Ocean is live streaming an empty room - but what does it mean?
Frank Ocean may have missed his July deadline, but it looks like he got an extension somewhere - he's running a live stream on his website.
UPDATE (15.38pm 1/8): Apparently Frank's making a spiral staircase. Lots of new sounds swirling about too. Also that boombox thingy in the corner is part of an installation by Tom Sachs.
This dude at a bar told me he's teaching frank ocean how to build a staircase for a music video

UPDATE (14.02pm 1/8): boysdontcry.co has changed - there's music. It's happening.
UPDATE (10.01am 1/8): Looks like it's not actually a livestream at all, but rather part of an endless installation by Francisco Soriano. A quick flick back through Soriano's instagram shows that he's been in cahoots with Ocean for a while.

ORIGINAL POST:
Head to boysdontcry.co to see... well, not much actually right now. It's a mostly empty room with a pair of workshop desks and sounds of something happening off camera. It's in black and white and has the Apple Music logo in the corner.
The stream doesn't appear to work with Chrome at this stage.
The video's link, as found on iOS, shows it's part of a playlist: http://live-promotions.apple.com/drop/champaign.m3u8. What is Champaign? An album title? A song? Just a placeholder? Bear in mind the playlist might just have one video in it if it is indeed part of a playlist.
The long-awaited follow up to 2012's channel ORANGE has been talked about for years, and we're none the wiser as to what Frank's got in store. Guest appearances from Yung Lean, Playboi Carti, SebastiAn, James Blake, Rich The Kid, Hudson Mohawke, and Lil B have all be talked about, and the whole thing has been slated to drop for three straight Julys - but we were met with silence again this time around.
