Frank Ocean fires management, hires new publicist ahead of new album
As previously reported, Frank Ocean’s new album is set to drop shortly, with new developments emerging surrounding the release.
It’s been previously rumoured that the R&B singer’s follow-up to 2012’s Channel Orange will be titled Palabra, expected during July. Now, Buzzfeed have published an article stating that the LP will be “released before the year is out”.
Elsewhere, the article also reveals that Ocean has also split with Odd Future managers Christian and Kelly Clancy, signing up with a new publicist in the process too.
“Everyone should be excited about this new album — that shit is fire,” video director and previous collaborator Nabil said of the upcoming LP. “He’s making a great record. It blows the sophomore-album myth out of the water”.
Ocean’s studio debut Channel Orange was released in 2012.
