Foxygen announce new record Hang, share "Follow The Leader"
Foxygen have announced Hang, their next record, and shared new single "Follow The Leader"
This showstopper of a tune joins last month's expansive goth-pop teaser "America" in previewing the band's long-awaited follow up to 2014 LP ...And Star Power. Sam France and Jonathan Rado explain the new track: "it was a blast to make! It’s a positive anthem, with some lyrical scenarios we don’t quite understand."
The cheery, choreographed video for "Follow The Leader" is directed by Cameron Dutra.
For the self-produced LP Foxygen enlisted the help of Matthew E. White, Trey Pollard, The Lemon Twigs, and The Flaming Lips' Steven Drozd. Pollard and White assisted in arranging music for the enormous "40-plus-piece" symphony orchestra that crops up on Hang.
