Four Tet shares new Nelly Furtado edit "Only Human" under KH alias
Kieran Hebden, who normally operates under his Four Tet name, has returned with new track "Only Human" under his KH alias.
"Only Human" is the first release under his KH name since 2017's "Question", and is an edit of Nelly Furtado's Loose album track "Afraid".
Speaking about the track, Hebden explains, "The Nelly Furtado track was playing in the kitchen and I heard that chanting vocal at the end and it just came into my head to use that bit to make a track to DJ with. I made it that day and then soon after I played it at Rainbow Disco Club in Japan and it was big so I sent it to Ben UFO. He played it a bunch said it was big too and the track ID people were going crazy. I sent it to Peggy Gou and Joy O and Midland and we were all playing it out and everyone was hyped at the festivals and sending me mad videos. After I got sent this Instagram video with the crowd at Dekmantel I decided I should try and release it so I called Ministry of Sound to help make that happen."
The new track is the first release from Four Tet since his 2017 New Energy album.
