For Britain's Anne Marie Waters thanks Morrissey in new video message
Anne Marie Waters, the leader of For Britain political party, has shared a new video message thanking Morrissey for his support.
Morrissey has openly supported the political party since last year, and recently wore a For Britain badge while performing on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show.
In the new video message, Waters thanks Morrissey for his "support since the UKIP leadership election. Thank you for giving us so much publicity."
Waters goes on to state that Morrissey's support for the party has helped its growth, "I can tell you that the traffic to our website exploded with the story breaking of you wearing the For Britain button badge, which you have been wearing everywhere from what I can see…We have sold out of those, but the good news is we have more, and they have been selling like hot cakes, so thank you very much for doing that."
Morrissey's new album California Son lands this Friday. After announcing his album earlier this year, Broken Social Scene's Ariel Engle - who features on the record - revealed her opinion on Morrissey's political views, "The inflammatory things he says are not my politics. I think he’s completely out of line. I grew up around multiculturalism and I am the product of multiculturalism and immigration. I feel like I’ve been had, but it’s my fault."
