The Irish band announced news of their forthcoming single today (5 May), revealing it'll be played as Annie Mac's Hottest Record In The World from 7pm BST.

Fontaines DC haven't released a new single since their 2019 Mercury Prize-nominated debut album Dogrel.
On 1 May, the band shared a 13-second clip of a chat show (presumably something to do with their new single?) hosted by Aiden Gillen, aka Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish from Game of Thrones.

Back in December 2019, the group did confirm that they had finished recording their highly-anticipated second LP, and hopefully tonight's new track is a first taste of that.
The band's Carlos O’Connell told Long Live Vinyl last year that they "made it in LA, as this record is a lot more influenced by The Beach Boys, so we wanted to go to California."
