Foals to pursue various side-projects
Foals have announced that they’ll venture into solo and side projects after the touring run of their current album, Holy Fire.
The band’s frontman Yannis Philippakis told BBC Newsbeat that said projects may involve the band’s other members or may not.
Philippakis said:
“At some point, probably in the not too distance future, we are going to start doing things on the side largely to satisfy creative impulses which we can’t satisfy with Foals. There are definitely certain things I would like to do which would shock, terrify and scar a lot of Foals fans.”
Yannis also spoke of his desire to go into film scoring, continuing:
“I’d love to a film soundtrack – I’m sure Jimmy (Smith, guitar) would as well.”
Foals recently announced tour dates with Efterklang, Surfer Blood and others. Holy Fire came out this week.
