Walter Gervers has left Foals after 12 years in the band in order to "pursue a new life".
Although the rest of the band say the "parting has been sad", they will continue support him and they all remain on good terms.
The band revealed the news via a letter on social media earlier today:
— FOALS (@foals) January 5, 2018
Gervers had been in Foals since 2006, working on their four albums to date (Antidotes, Total Life Forever, Holy Fire, and What Went Down). Foals are currently working on their fifth studio LP, and in the letter revealing Gervers' departure, they say that it's "gonna be the best yet".
